Dear Friends and Supporters,

We hope this letter finds you healthy and safe as we continue through these unusual times of the COVID-19 challenge.

At Lexington, we are so incredibly grateful for the tremendous support we have received from our community, family and friends. As you know, we provide supports to men and women who are among the most vulnerable in a public health crisis like this. Our employees have been even more amazing during this time, as they have continued to provide compassionate direct care to protect and maintain the health of the people we support.  They have always put these men and women first, but in this situation they have gone above and beyond to increase safety and care while using stringent preventative protocols. We can’t thank them enough.

Lexington is an essential business that employs essential healthcare workers and this pandemic required that we dramatically increase our supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE) to make sure we kept everyone safe and healthy. The need for PPE will continue for the foreseeable future and this poses a significant challenge and added expense to the Agency. While we are so grateful for the donations that Lexington received of surgical masks, face shields, cloth face coverings and gowns, we will continue to seek resources to procure adequate supplies to keep both the people we support and our staff safe.  The cost of your membership renewal can help us do that.

The challenges brought on by this pandemic are just beginning to be understood and we know that more change is yet to come in how we provide services and how we keep everyone safe. That is why we need your support now more than ever.

We truly need your help and ask that you renew or become a member of Lexington today and consider an extra contribution that will help us secure adequate personal protective equipment for all.

As a Chapter of our statewide organization, The Arc New York, and a member of the national organization, The Arc, we are working together closer than ever on advocacy for services and funding as the state and federal financial crises unfold.  By becoming a member you help us show our strength and provide valuable resources to keep our advocacy efforts working.

Lexington is a strong organization and we are confident we will be even stronger as we come out of this, but not without your support. Please return the enclosed form or visit our website to become a member and help us maintain Lexington as the leader in providing the best possible programs and services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

With your help we will rise together,
